Through the Takt Academy we offer a vivid programme of weekly classes and workshops including artist talks, group critiques, one on one sessions with visiting artists, German classes, life drawing classes and visits to some of the city’s most exciting galleries and exhibitions. There is also the option to work more closely with some of our mentors who can offer specific and detailed support in their particular areas of expertise. We are here to assist and support each individual artist in making the most of their stay by providing a lively programme which individuals can participate in as much as, or as little as they wish. We understand that people work differently and everything we offer is optional, if you’d rather do it in your own way, that’s ok with us too. We’re happy for the programme to be influenced by each group that stays at the residency, which is why we encourage you to share your ideas with us. It’s a truly international residency with artists coming from all over the world and it always makes us happy when lasting connections are made at Takt that continue way beyond our programme. Every three months there is a group show curated by a guest artist who is invited by Takt (March, June, September and December). The curator selects the artwork for the show during an inclusive process with each resident artist. We are always interested on new collaborations, fun projects and big ideas, so don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’ve got something in mind. Volunteer and internship applications are welcome.
